Activities
The experiences on a holiday can, at times, seem incomplete without a range of activities, both, in the resort and outside. The range of activities also set apart a resort from its peers and they are part of the memories that a guest will take home. At Coorg Cliffs Resort we have a range of activities, both outdoors and indoors, exclusively designed for our guests.

Rope Activities + Zipline (Chargeable)
The resort offers a nine – course rope activity session with aptitude levels ranging from beginner to intermediate levels. A rope course is a challenging outdoor personal development and team building activity which usually consists of high and/or low elements. Low elements take place on the ground or a little above the ground. High elements are usually constructed in trees or made of utility poles and require a belay for safety.
The zipline on the other hand is simply a blur inducing adrenaline rush as tethered via a pulley to a steel cable stretched at a considerable height above the ground, a participant, impelled by gravity, travels along the inclined cable above and over a densely wooded hollow to the other side. Truly an exercise in confronting one’s fear of heights.
Nature walk
The nature walk lasts an hour, a guided excursion through trails that wind through the estate that surrounds the resort. A quarter of all the species in India are found in Coorg and the region is a nature lover’s treasure trove. The neighbouring forest that extends into the estate provide our guests numerous opportunities to spot a fascinating range of animals and birds under a dense overhang of large trees – timber, teak and rosewood that grow prodigiously in the dense and moist undergrowth. Relatively shorter trees grow in the drier areas – flame of the forest, laburnum, yellow and Burma bamboo, jackfruit and medicinal trees like neem.
In the course of the excursion guests may spot four-horned antelopes, wild boar, crested porcupines and the black-napped hare, who perhaps, drawn by curiosity, wander into the plantation. Most often in the course of the tour troops of primates (common langur and bonnet macaque are aplenty here) are spotted foraging for food. A keen eye will also spot sloth bear, pangolin, giant and flying squirrels, giant fruit bat and the elusive slender Loris. Wild civet cats may also be seen prowling the coffee bushes for ripe coffee berries.
Fishing (Temporarily Closed)
A discreet pathway from the resort leads to a pond nearby. Surrounded by the coffee plantation on all sides, the pond, stocked with common carp and tilapia, is ideal for a spot of fresh water fishing and a picnic. A deck provides a platform where guests may buy bait, pick up rod and line from the resort, settle down, contemplate the sylvan surroundings. One has birds for company and a stillness that dissipates all else. Wild elephants once descended to the pond to bathe and drink. One can still view marks on the sides of the pond where they slid into the water.
